Swedish Massage

Swedish or relaxation massage is the most recognized massage style. It is typically a full body massage with the client undressed and under a sheet. As the therapist works from one body part to the next, that body part is undraped (uncovered) and massaged with a lotion or oil, and then re-covered with the sheet and blanket. Your privacy and modesty is not only our professional concern but also required by the Oregon Board of Massage Therapy.

60, 90, and 120 minute massages available, $100-180.
Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is a version of Swedish massage performed on pregnant women. The mother is often in a side-line position (positioned on her side and supported by pillows) during the majority of the massage, only lying on her back towards the end to focus on the neck and scalp. I am certified to massage any pregnant person during each stage of her pregnancy, from the very beginning to right before birth!

60 and 90 minute massages available, $120 and $160.
Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a Swedish massage with hot stones (kept at a comfortable temperature.) It accesses the deeper muscles, allowing for a more thorough and relaxing massage. There are some contraindications that would prevent you from receiving hot stones. I will ask you questions during your intake to ensure this is the right service for you.

60 and 90 minute massages available, $120 and $160.
Often asked questions

What do I wear during a massage?
I highly recommend undressing down to your underwear as bras can prevent me from accessing your full back. If you have concerns, feel free to ask.  You will be appropriately draped (breast tissue and groin/ rear area covered with a sheet and blanket) as required by state rules.

Will it hurt/ should I be sore after the massage?
My style of massage is not deep pressure, but I often access the deeper levels of muscle. You should not be sore or bruised after a massage. I encourage all clients to communicate immediately if they feel pain.

Do you treat teens ?
Of course! I suggest a parent staying on the property if the teen is under 16. Massage is great for students, especially athletes.

How often should I get a massage?
General rule of thumb is monthly, but it depends on your body and pain issues. Sometimes twice a month (or more) is better for chronic pain. I am happy to discuss this with you if you are not sure.

Will massage help me detox?
Not in the way you think. Massage manipulates your muscle tissues which moves fluids out of those tissues and into the blood stream, then moves them to your bladder, and finally excreting as urine. Drinking water will help rehydrate you. Massage (lymphatic or otherwise) will not flush cellulite out of your body.

Should I come in if I feel a cold coming on?
No. Getting a massage when your body is fighting a fever or virus will only make you feel worse after. Please reschedule with me asap.
Also, I require a doctor's note and 6 week wait period after any surgery.

Do you make home visits?
Not at this time.

How I am protecting you from Covid-19

Protocols include thoroughly disinfecting surfaces between each massage and having an air purifier in my office, making sure each client has the safest environment possible.

After March 12, 2022 masks are no longer required indoors. As it is cold and flu season, I do ask that you do not come in if you feel unwell or are running a fever. I will reschedule you free of charge.

Policies may change as new information is available and as the Oregon Health Dept and CDC advises. Your confirmation email you receive prior to your massage appointment will explain all updated clinic policies.
